Main purpose of job: as Performance Chef, you will help supervise and assist the Performance Head Chef for the food requirements for all players of the Women’s, Men’s & Cavaliers for WRFC at Sixways Stadium

Department: Food and Beverage

Reports to: Performance Head Chef

Contract: Permanent - Full-Time

Operational Service

  • To help and aid the Performance Head Chef to ensure that there is variety and consistency to all the meals for all the players of the Women’s Rugby team and to also aid and add support for the Men & Cavaliers team as of when needed /asked
  • Plan, Preparing, cooking, and presenting high class fresh ingredients of all food items consistently in line with high standards and in line with menus from the Performance Nutritionists & Head Chef
  • Making sure food is served promptly
  • Keeping preparation at the right level
  • Monitoring food production to ensure consistent quality and portion size
  • Managing food purchasing and stock control
  • Maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.    
  • Running the kitchen when the Performance Head Chef is away
  • Supervise all methods of food preparation and cooking methods, size of portions, garnishing and presentation of food.
  • Comply with requirements set by the Food Safety Legislation
  • Ensure that you keep yourself updated on all necessary legislation
  • Working shift work and weekends, and bank/public holidays, ensuring prompt timekeeping and attendance
  • Carry out any other reasonable request asked by Directors
  • Implement and monitor the standards of the Kitchen operation to exceed company standards, ensuring consistency always
  • To comply with all legal requirements in respect of health, safety, and welfare of staff
  • To undertake any other duties requested by management

  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are always achieved and maintained, and are monitored and updated when and where necessary
  • Implement and ensure the Company Health, Hygiene & Safety Policy is always met
  • Ensure the departments are clean and hygienic, making sure cleaning rotas are adhered to and appropriate records kept
  • Report and where possible act in any incidents of complaint, accident, fire, loss or damage
  • Check customer satisfaction regularly, ensuring all guest feedback is dealt with in a professional and efficient manner to minimise negative impression
  • Prompt timekeeping and attendance, and effective organisation of
  • Attend company meetings as requested 
  • To undertake any other duties deemed commensurate with the post and as directed by management and / or the Company
